Health Is A Foundation Of Happiness

      Health is very important in our daily lives. By having a healthy body, a person can perform daily activities without hindrance. The children can go to school to gain knowledge and parents can make a living for families. For some, the importance of health was only discovered when they succumbed to disease. They are willing to spend money to buy health food,medicine or anything just to cure their health problems. Additionally, many drug and health food products exist in the market as "Mushrooms after the rain". Because of the importance of this blessing in our lives, several steps must be taken so that our health is guaranteed.

      One of the steps we need to pay attention to health care is to maintain a clean living environment. Conditions inside and outside the home should be clean of garbage and stagnant water sites. This matter will be able to eliminate the breeding ground for disease agents such as flies, rats, mosquitoes and others. We need to respond to the campaign launched by Perak Municipal Council of the Islamic City campaign "Meet Trash Must Pick" and the "Fighting Pesticide." Therefore, the waste must be burned, reclaimed or disposed of in a special place. Flower pots and drains should be checked to make sure the water is not stagnant and becoming a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Thus, vector-borne diseases like cholera, malaria, and dengue can be avoided. In fact, maintain a clean environment is a fundamental step for us all to achieve optimum health.

      In addition, health check-up is very important thing to do to ensure our health is in good condition. According to medical recommendations, a person has to do a health check at least twice a year or six months. This examination includes blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and others. The purpose of inspection is made to ensure our health are in good condition and also be able to detect early chronic disease such as hypertension, diabetes and so forth. In short, a person's health would be in good condition if we are disciplined to undergo health examinations in hospitals regularly.

      Practicing a well  balanced diet is no less important as a step to maintain our health.Our type of nutrition s often associated with health. This is consistent with the idiom of the dietary habits of "What you are, is what you eat". Can be considered a person that eat a well balanced diet will have good health. Eating a balanced diet means eating a healthy, nutritious food your body needs one. An individual needs appropriate food based on age,and other needs. For example, a baby needs more calcium than adults who need more protein. To be clear, one should refer to the food pyramid as a guide to get balanced nutrition. As such, snacks and soft drinks should be avoided because it can harm our health. In short, the best way to achieve health is by eating a balanced diet.

      Next, our health will be more secure if we do recreational activities. Practice exercise such as swimming, jogging, riding bicycles and other sport activities are good for health. Sports Science Lecturer Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Assoc. Zulkifli Abdul Kadir, suggest everyone to do recreational activities for 30 minutes twice a week for optimum health. These recreational activities will become more common if we do it everyday with discipline.By doing recreational activities, the muscles of the body will have more energy and vitality of the body will improve. In addition, one can breathe fresh air during exercise in playgrounds and to reduce the pressure or stress tired after a long day working .

      Healthy lifestyle is a step that is not less important for good health.Now, we were surprised with all kinds of negative way of life that has spread in our society. Among the negative lifestyle that is free and promiscuous sexual practices,prostitution activity, drug addiction, alcohol and others as well as smoking habit, which remains a part of the lifestyle of young people and teenagers in our society as if the campaign "Say No To Cigarettes" is useless. Of course, unhealthy lifestyle will invite diseases such as Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS),syphilis and others. Such practices should be kept away and adopt a healthy lifestyle based on religious norms and culture.Therefore, turn to a healthy lifestyle for good health as a campaign"Healthy Lifestyle" as contemplated by the government.

      In conclusion, health care should be the agenda and priorities in our daily life. Various measures can be taken to obtain good health. Among other things, personal and environmental hygiene, take a balanced diet and doing recreational activities. We should be more aware and concerned about our health to lead a quality life. Healthy individuals will be able to contribute to the development and prosperity in line with the slogan, "Healthy People Prosper Country".
